I’m Rachel, a PhD candidate in sociology at the Australian National University. I study the social impact of emerging AI-enabled technologies, specifically the political and ethical design of consumer finance apps.
Before starting my PhD, I spent over a decade managing national data collections and data linkage projects at a government statistical agency.
